The repertoire brings together historical works, twentieth-century compositions, and contemporary creations, presenting the alphorn as a fully developed solo instrument in orchestral, symphonic band, and chamber music settings.
The project is also open to commissions from contemporary composers, allowing the repertoire to grow through new works and world premieres created specifically for each ensemble or institution.
Rather than presenting a fixed catalogue, this repertoire highlights the instrument’s wide-ranging artistic possibilities: from its presence as a solo voice in symphonic contexts to its integration into chamber formats, recital settings, and programmes tailored to different spaces and performing forces.
